Calling all flower retailers! How was Valentine's Day? How did it compare to past years for sales and quality?
This Valentines Day was a mixed bag. On one hand it was a slow year for us. Our sales are based on hotel occupance, so on that note we did OK.
The big surprise this year was the last minute orders. we originialy had about 80% of our incomming product pre sold, which is a fairly standard practice for us, but on the day of we had to order in another 15% above what had already been delivered and we still ended up turning people away starting about noon.
Been a while since we (litterly) cleaned out our cooler on V-day, or any other holiday for that matter.
