I am making bouquets for a wedding in May and they want to use the Super Star Iris.....
The bride's dress is ivory and champagne. What would be a good neutral flower that we could use in the bouquet with the Iris that would blend well but not clash with the dress?

I DON'T SEE ANY SPRAY STOCKS OR REGULAR STOCKS IN GENERAL ON YOUR SITE!
I HAVE A WEDDING IN APRIL AND I'M TRYING TO DECIDE WHICH WHOLESALER TO SEND MY ORDER TO BECAUSE OF WHO CARRIES YOUR PRODUCT AND I WANT THE QUALITY THAT I GET FROM SIERRA FOR MY WEDDINGS.
ALSO THE DEEP EGGPLANT COLOUR PURPLE IS THE COLOUR I'M IN DESPARATE NEED OF AND I'VE NOTICED THAT THERE SEEMS TO BE A SHORTAGE WHEN EVER I TRY TO ORDER THEM. DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS WHEN THEY WILL BE COMING BACK IN STOCK OR ARE THEY IN YOUR STOCK AND I JUST DONT SEE THEM ON LINE?

I VERY MUCH APPRECIATE YOUR AWESOME SITE IT TRUELY SAVES ME FROM TALKING WITH WHOLESALERS IN REGARDS TO TRYING TO EXPLAIN WHAT SHADE OR EVEN WHAT FLOWERS I NEED TO MAKE MY BUSY WEDDING SEASON RUN SMOOTHLY.
THANKS FOR BEING HERE
SUZANNE

Stock question:

Every time i get in Stock (reguardless of color, wholesaler, destributer or time of year) it comes in looking perfect and is either brown, falling appart, flopped over or dead within 48 hours. i've tried everything from different water tems and additives, to changing my cooler temperatures.

what am i doing wrong?

Waxflower time!  I love this product. I know it is a filler but that doesn't stop me from having a vase of only Waxflower in my kitchen. It has a sweet and fruity fragrance that reminds me of the breakfast cereal I ate as a child. Of course my own kids only get healthy cereal but that is another story.  Is anyone else out there as excited as me?

Waxflower season from California is underway.  I love this great filler flower from the Southern hemisphere too but nothing is quite like California Waxflower when purchased from the best growers.  Even though it is classified as a filler I still love it on its own in a vase.  What is your favourite variety?  Do you even get variety specific or do you just ask for it by colour?

Whoah!.....all these new Gerbera and Germini photos are amazing !! Thanks to "Alunshof" for this great contribution to the site.
I'm always wondering about care and handling for Gerbera...

How do we avoid "bent neck"?
Why do they sometimes last amazingly well and sometimes go limp and not perform like I expect them too ?
Are there special water treatments a florist should use specifically for Gerbera?
Is it true what Peter Boxer ( one of my florist friends) says that by hydrating his Gerbera in the sunlight that they drink better and, ultimately, last longer?
Should I put stem-straws on my Gerbera stems in bouquets or arrangments ?

Am I the only one who knows so little about how to handle these beautiful blooms?

Peonies from Ontario are now being harvested in good numbers.  It's a short season but what could be better than supporting Canadian growers and getting rewarded with awesome peonies, talk about a win/win.  They are my favourite flower wherever they are coming from but there is something extra special about Ontario grown peonies.

On the front of a book titled "Creating Your Perfect Wedding" is a rose that is cream/greenish on the ouside of the petals and hot pink on the inside of the petal. I don't see anything like that on the site. looking at the rose from the side it look ivory, look at it from the top it looks hot pink. As a partially open bud, it is amazing!! Any ideas?

My sales of Lisianthus increase by about 300 % during the seasons where I can offer  an "open cut " option of this gorgeous flower and shrink back to almost nothing when all I have to offer is a " tight cut "  that never seems to really develop that well in water. Is it just me or does this flower need to be cut more open than we often see from many growers?

Love the new site but your Gerbera section seems to be out of date and I can't find any of the varieties available from Ontario growers....it would be great if you could update this section!
