Is Rosh Hashanah considered to be a "Healthy" flower holiday?  Does the industry see a noticeable jump in consumption?  If so, what type of floral products and colors are florists looking for?

Montreal has a fair sized jewish community. We see an small increase in demand in "special" flowers. Forget carns and minies, think lilies, exotics and other higher end blooms.

I love this holiday....this is one of the "highest" holidays of the jewish calendar year. Most families host or are hosted for this celebration and flowers are a central part of most gatherings. We always see a signifcant increase in sales of exotics, cymbidium orchids, calla lilies, protea and almost anything else unusual that will help to create stunning designs....
This holiday usually "makes" our September budget..

Noth of 45 is right.  Big, showy blooms are the way to go. Callas, Cymbids, tropicals (heliconia, musa etc) Premium hydrangea. Good Luck.
