  • This section contains a selection of traditonal "garden type" or "English Garden" varieties of roses developed for the commercial cut flower floral industry.
  • These beautiful varieties tend to be extremely fragrant however do not have the vase life of commercialized hybrid tea varieties.
  • While many of these varieties have a shorter vase life than most of the hybrid tea varieties they are valued for their beautiful form, unique colors and exquisite scents.
  • Many Garden rose varieties open very quickly. However, more recent introductions have great vase life allowing garden roses to bre used for every day Vase work.
  • Garden varieties do not have the same  shipping resilience as most commercial varieties. They should be transported as directly to market as possible.
  • Generally sold at higher prices than most traditional floral industry varieties. Althought recent introductions from South America are much lower priced that traditional west coast garden roses. Plus many are the new varieties that have great vase lives.
