Let's hope that hydrangeas have access to YouTube.
Madonna is poking some fun of herself after catching criticism for her snipe heard 'round the world, in which she was recently overhead saying, "I absolutely loathe hydrangeas," after being presented with the offensive flower during a press conference at the Venice Film Festival.
Now, the "W.E." director has made what some already consider her best work in recent memory: a hilarious Web video apologizing to the flowers.
Shot in sepia, the old-fashioned looking video features Madonna, 53, cradling a bouquet of the flowers as messages of apology flash below her on screen.
"You have no idea how many nights I have lost thinking I hurt you," the first reads.
The text goes on: "Words cannot express how sorry I am. To think I may have caused you pain."
By the end of the 46-second clip, however, the singer lets her true colors shine through.
Throwing her bouquet on the ground, she shouted, "I still hate hydrangeas!"
